Description
Exceptional colour and flavour.
Large, crisp roots with unusual, deep colour.
Easily pulled from the ground due to strong tops.
Excellent source of vitamin C.
Sow outdoors thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm(½in) deep, directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 23cm (9in) between rows.
Early sowings, especially those in February will benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 7-10 days. Water well until plants are established.
Tip: Thin only if plants are overcrowded. Regular sowings made every two to three weeks will ensure a continuous supply.
