Description
An excellent quality ‘monogerm’ variety, it produces only one or two plants per seed so greatly reducing the need for wasteful thinning. The sweet tasting roots can be harvested young as ‘baby’ beet or left to mature.
Beetroot
For the earliest crops sow bolt-resistant varieties under cloches from mid-March, otherwise from April.
Tip: Twist the leaves off to prevent the colour ‘bleeding.’ Harvest alternate beets from 5cm (2″) diameter, leaving others space to develop.
